From La Crosse and Prairie du Chien to Washburn, Bayfield and Bell to Green Bay, Manitowoc and Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s 29 commercial ports are hubs of economic and recreational activity.

The future productivity of Wisconsin’s growers and manufacturers depend on modern transportation infrastructure, and ports are an integral part of the supply chain.

Additionally, the State’s shipyard sector is one of the largest in the United States. Based in a State with a rich maritime heritage that includes construction of submarines in World War II, WIDMAC advocates and educates for Wisconsin’s American mariners, shipyards and U.S. shipping companies moving vital cargo on these waterways.
